My Ride To Big Basin :: Wednesday, April 25th 2007
Yeah guy, some folks have been worried that I am going to die this weekend biking to Big Basin and back. Let me tell you that I will be fine. I have done half this trip and back 3.5 times now (.5 was when my tire blew), which is the same mileage as a straight shot to the park. I will be leaving at 4:30 on Friday the 25th and returning Sunday the 27th sometime in the afternoon. Here is the route I am taking. It will be about 40 miles of biking and will go from an elevation of 40 feet at start to 2140 feet at the top of the mountains and back down to 300 feet at the park. I will have a full bike tune-up tomorrow and will get a tire patch kit.

We will have a great weekend of camping / hiking / playing games / and, of course, eating.

My ride up the mountian :: Sunday, April 15th 2007
So, today I decided not to go surfing and go for a road bike ride. Now, the best part about biking up a mountain is gliding back down. So, the worst time to get a flat is 500 from the top. Guess what happened. At least some nice mountain bikers let me ride with them in their Ford Expedition to the bike shop for "passing on the karma".

Down 2 games in the series... and on top of that, my second favorite team the Sharks got smacked yesterday too. Maybe it can turn around??? Maybe?
