The flood this year was pretty calm around Fargo. That is thanks to the volunteers and city for working endless hours. We had a dike put in front of our house on Thursday and the river crested today. This is the highest we have seen the river as we where not here in 2009 for the crest and last year it did not get this high.

We stayed in the Westminster area only a block from Parliament and 2 blocks from Big Ben Clock tower and West Minster Abbey. We had good weather, cloudy, 30's and a little drizzle. Coming from Fargo at -20 it was a dream:) We enjoyed going to the museums, Windsor Castle, the Tower of London and learning about the city. We took in 3 shows: Stomp, Mama Mia and Billy Elliot. I cannot express enough how beautiful this fall has been. The weather has stayed around 40-6- for weeks now. We did have one bad storm go through that knocked out our power for 9 hours, but thankfully we kept ahead of the water that was filling our sump pump.
